Additional information about CSUEB can be found at:www.csueastbay.edu?The PositionThe Associate Vice President for Enrollment Planning & Analysis (AVP) provides leadership and strategic vision for the campus to develop and implement a strategic enrollment management plan driven by institutional priorities and informed by data and national best practices in partnership with Academic Affairs. The AVP collaborates with leadership across the university to ensure enrollment goals are achieved and support the university's vision and mission. This position supports the full life-cycle of a student and provides leadership to support the enrollment services leaders who help carry out the Cal State East Bay strategic enrollment management plan. This position is a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team and supports the President's commitment to increasing student success and graduation rates through the recruitment, admission, retention, and graduation processes in the Student Success Continuum. In addition, the AVP is responsible for ensuring that effective administrative services are carried-out in a welcoming environment for a diverse student population with many students who are low income and first generation college students.This position oversees an $8 million budget and approximately 100 diverse staff members. The AVP focuses on the University's and Division of Student Affairs' strategic plans, provides leadership in advancing the University's recruitment plan, and builds the application pipeline and enrolling motivated and diverse students. The AVP will be well versed in admissions and enrollment planning with a commitment to collaboration, collegiality, and contemporary higher education best practices. The AVP will possess strong analytic and technological depth and a proven capacity for embedding admissions within institutional values, the mission, and the strategic plans of the University. The AVP collaborates and strategizes with the Division of Academic Affairs, including the Provost, academic deans, and department chairs to develop recruitment plans and meet enrollment targets. The incumbent must be current in the use of new technology, marketing strategies, and approaches utilized in university admissions practices.QualificationsA master's degree plus five years of progressive and significant experience in enrollment management and/or Student Services in higher education setting is required. Preferred qualifications would include a doctoral degree; seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in enrollment planning & analysis and/or student services; experience working with special populations (e.g. veterans, athletes, first generation college students, transfers); experience working with enterprise-wide administrative software system and other related software commonly used in enrollment and student services settings; and thorough knowledge and experience working with Recruitment, Admissions, Financial Aid (Federal Title IV & State regulations), and Registrar offices.Application and NominationReview of applications will begin February 3, 2017 and will continue until the position is filled.
