Job Description:
The Operations Specialist Admissions & Systems serve as the primary operational support for the Office of Recruiting & Admissions in administering the admissions software system (Slate) and ensuring timely processing and workflows for prospective students, including awards for new and returning graduate students. The Operations Specialist will also provide general operations support to the Office and work under the direction of the Director of Recruiting & Admissions to ensure a positive experience for new and returning students and support overall VPA enrollment objectives.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees and monitors system workflow of applications for prospective students, to include auditing applications for completeness and supporting materials (portfolios, etc.) and awards for new and returning graduate students.
- Serves as an expert and leader in administration of the CRM (Slate) and will create metrics to measure outcomes and effectiveness of events and recruiting initiatives; provides the Director with meaningful reports and analysis of data.
- Coordinates and communicates with VPA faculty and leaders to guide their participation in the application and admissions process for new and returning students; facilitates user initial and recurring training for faculty and staff on the Recruiting & Admissions processes and systems.
- Provides office coverage and support with office operations as needed or scheduled; cross-trains on recruitment functions and presentation to support recruiting events and initiatives, both on- and off-campus. Serves as an ambassador for VPA and SU, consistently presenting a positive, professional image to prospective students and families.
- Provides support in managing recruiting and admissions expenses and achieving budget expectations and constraints.
