Job Description
The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Tech Support with the Enrollment Research & Innovation. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.

Length of Assignment: Approximately 2.5 months

Work Schedule: 25-40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM

Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour

Responsibilities

Physical set up of technology/equipment for divisional employees.
Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs.
First line technical support for divisional employees.
Research and communicate creative technical and product solutions to the Associate Director of Innovation.
Support with inventory and maintenance of inventory.
Ability to walk across campus to support staff in Hodges Library, the Student Union, and the Student Services Building.

Qualifications
Experience:

Required: Troubleshooting for Macs and PC systems, tools, and software. Microsoft Office. Good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving approach, willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Preferred: Network fundamentals and IP addressing. Software installation and configuration. Cybersecurity principles.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma
